[Left: Late Rozer Irom]

On March 20 2011, Rozer Irom was shot dead by a Manipur Minister’s son at Ghari Lamkhai area on Imphal Airport road in Imphal West district. In our violence-ridden world, this may sound a routine news with a delinquent losing his sanity and causing a great harm. The culprit did surrender to the police; yet this matter is of grave concern in a conflict state like Manipur, where the right to live is a delusion as much as the right to free education.

Violence has become a way of life. Sad but true. We can't let this kind of mindless killing and violence continue. Join the fight against violence and justice for Rozer Irom.

Enough is enough. It's time for the government to take responsibility and help us end the violence in Manipur. Therefore, we the undersigned demand that the Manipur state government and the Government of India  must hasten its peace-building process, the sooner the better.

How many bullets must we fire
Before we get the chance to live in peace
How many people must we kill
Before we think for posterity
How many times we shall just let it go
Before we die?

WE STRONGLY
CONDEMN THE
KILLING OF
ROZER IROM.
